Careers Counselling is involved with helping others to find a career that they are best suited to and put them on the right track to gaining employment. This course is designed for those already working as, or are wishing to pursue a career as: career guides, employment officers or teachers and youth workers. During this course you will learn many skills in helping people make the most of their lives. This is a very rewarding industry to get into as you see and help people pursue the career they have dreamed of and live a life they love.

Lesson 3: Careers Advice Resources …Brochures, Publications, Web Sites
Lesson 4: Career Services ….Where can people get help (Social Services, Work Experience, Education)
Lesson 5: Developing Counselling Skills
Lesson 6: Conducting a Counselling Session
Lesson 7: Counselling Students and School Leavers (with little work experience)
Lesson 8: Counselling Adults (inexperienced or facing career change)
Lesson 9: Job Prospecting
Lesson 10: Nurturing and growing a career once it has started
There are no general entry requirements for this course, just your drive, motivation, and passion for the industry. You may enrol into this course at any time and begin studying shortly after enrolment.
Duration study load
We allow up to 12 months to complete this course, although your actual completion time may be less depending on prior experience and the time you commit to your study. Approx 100 hours.
